Is it possible or do you intend to be able to track the past positions of a component on a map ?
Or even play the how a components move between date1 and date2 ?

On our road map. Ideally, we'd like to have a "Play back" dashboard widget that would allow users to select a time for all widgets on the dashboard.

Yes great, at what date : 3 months, 6 months, 1 year ?

Can't put a date on it, but you're the second customer to ask for it so that makes it a higher priority than most items. If it looks like it will generate significant revenue or a customer is willing to help pay for it, then we'd slam it in before other enhancements.

Any news about new map functionalities ?

What I am looking for is to know for a previous position the values of the other streams associated to that position.

By the way, looks like traccar (open source gps platform) is using the same framework as GS.

New map functionality is being looked into. A new widget that allows users to pick the date range, cycle, and page forward/backward for all other widgets displayed in the dashboard is currently being worked on. When this widget is done, we will announce it and much more.

We will probably expose the new site and announce in a week or two. Ideally, we'd like to put some tutorial videos together first, but we may announce before that to allow people to play with what we have so that we can make changes based on feedback.

Taking longer than we thought. Extending the map widgets, then we'll expose the site.

We did expose the link to the new beta site under the Mobile menu option on the GS start page. No announcements yet and we don't really recommend designing dashboards within it for now. We're opening up some existing dashboards in the new designer and they're not working so we're going to focus on those issues for now.

Do not open one of your existing dashboards in the new designer and save it. Once you do that, you are committed to the new designer for that dashboard. If you want to play, copy an existing dashboard or create a new one.

We plan on doing some screen casts.

Sorry but I don't see the link. I see Mobile but nothing under it.

When adding a new dashboard, should I also have a new type of content ?

Understood for the impact and old dashboards,I'll create new ones.

Assume we're in Alpha mode for the new site. We'll move to Beta once it's a little more stable.

You might have to refresh your browser cache to see the Mobile option in the menu bar. Or just go here:

https://www.grovestreams.com/Modern

We're currently fixing issues with existing production dashboards. Pivot grid and pivot graph widgets are not yet supported. We know there are some issues with stream groups.

To get to the dashboard designer:
* Goto the dashboards page
* Click the menu icon on the right side of the dashboard row and choose "Edit"

Some new things to look at:
* New Big Number widget
* New Level widget
* New Range Selector widget (lets the user select the time range and cycle and allows paging for all other widgets on the dashboard).
* Threshold settings for almost all widgets (changes background color for warn, max, latency). Set the Threshold Eval property to something like:
value > 100
value > 25 && value <= 32
* Threshold max sound indicator
* Single Component Map Tracker widget. Shows historical path. Click on a waypoint and the component window will appear with each stream's value at that time.
* New and Improved Stream Form widget (let's you select the visual control for each streams input).
* Each page has its own URL. The browser's back button is respected.
* Dashboards with api_keys on the URL are not yet supported.
* Embedding widgets are not yest supported.

Every widget was almost entirely rewritten so there will be bugs. The new design will allow us to quickly create new widgets. For the tech guys: We used a lot more inheritance

More information to come....

Some list items can be swiped left or right (such as the org list).

Some list items, such as components and dashboards, can be opened by holding your finger (or holding the left mouse button) on them for a a second or two.
